I understand that one of our wardens had the chance today to tell the Commissioner of the Met, Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe, to his face how much trouble is caused by the East European rough sleepers. Extra cleansing and hosing down has the effect of causing them to move on, at some cost to the taxpayer, but there is still more to be done. Meanwhile lobbying efforts with the Home Office continue this week over the Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour Bill.
