Two dozen arrests for begging and similar

A total of two dozen East Europeans have been arrested since January 1 for abusing their right to free movement. Of those 16 have been removed from the UK. Under the new regulations. UK Border Agency will stop them if they try to re-enter in the next 12 months, unless they can show they have a job.
Borough Commander Paul Rickett commented in his weekly message to residents: “This has already had a significant impact on the visible manifestations of anti social behaviour in the West End and in particular around the Marble Arch and Park Lane areas.” Congratulations to all the agencies involved and thanks to those residents and businesses who helped by writing to ministers and giving evidence.
