Proposals for Portsea Hall – on show tomorrow

I took  a look at the plans for 6 new flats on the roof at Portsea Hall in Portsea Place. The brick structures containing the lift motor and water tanks are being moved to the basement, creating space for new 1, 2 and 3 bedroom flats. The flats are set back from the roof edge and have been given an Art Deco look matching the rest of this 1930s block. I think the effect is an improvement on the existing lift and water housing. Residents can judge for themselves on November 12 at the exhibition of the plans at the Amba Hotel Marble Arch, Bryanston St, London W1H 7EH from 4pm – 8pm.
